What is it
The international standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It replaced OHSAS 18001. It demonstrates that the company systematically manages the risks of injuries and occupational diseases.

ISO 45001 in Uzbekistan: a closer look at occupational safety certification
ISO 45001 in Uzbekistan is in demand first of all where the price of a mistake is people's health and lives: construction, mining, energy and industrial production. Occupational safety certification against the international standard is increasingly becoming a condition of tenders and contracts with foreign customers — they check not whether a worker in a photo wears a helmet, but a functioning risk management system. ISO 45001:2018 is exactly the recognised model of such a system.
What an occupational health and safety management system delivers
The core of ISO 45001 is hazard identification and risk assessment: for every workplace and process, hazardous factors are identified, the likelihood and severity of consequences are assessed, and controls are assigned according to the hierarchy (elimination — substitution — engineering controls — administrative controls — PPE). The system includes incident management and accident investigation, emergency preparedness, control of contractors on site, and — a fundamental difference from OHSAS 18001 — mandatory participation of workers themselves: consultation, safety committees and the right to refuse dangerous work.
Stages of ISO 45001 certification
Stage 1. Gap analysis. We audit your current occupational safety practice: instructions, briefings, permits, logs, medical examinations, incident statistics. The result is a nonconformity map and a project plan.
Stage 2. Documentation. The OH&S policy and objectives, registers of hazards, risks and legal requirements, procedures for permits, high-risk work, contractor management and emergency response. Everything is built around your real practice — not a "generic package from the internet".
Stage 3. Implementation. We train personnel and internal auditors, launch the procedures, and conduct the internal audit and management review.
Stage 4. Certification audit. We support the audit by an accredited body until the ISO 45001 certificate is issued.
ISO 45001 and Uzbekistan's occupational safety legislation
The standard does not replace national legislation — the Labour Code, occupational safety rules and norms — but embeds it into a managed system: the requirements register is kept up to date, responsibilities are assigned, and compliance is monitored on schedule. That is why an enterprise with a certified system passes state inspections more calmly and responds more confidently to insurers' and customers' enquiries.
Timeline and cost of ISO 45001 certification in Uzbekistan
The timeline is from 25 days to 3 months depending on headcount, number of sites and the current maturity of safety practice. The cost depends on the scale of the enterprise and the hazard class of production. An exact estimate follows the gap analysis — free of charge. When integrated with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 into a single management system, the budget is noticeably lower than three separate projects.
Why it is safer with us
We have been implementing management systems for over 15 years, including at high-risk production sites. We build a safety system that works on the shop floor rather than living in a folder: instructions are understandable to workers, permits are actually controlled, and records are kept from the first month. After certification we support surveillance audits and help develop the system further.
What it costs
The cost depends on your company's scale — number of employees, sites and processes. Leave a request and within a day we will calculate the exact cost and timeline for your case. The estimate is free and non-binding.
