What is it

The CE mark confirms that a product complies with the directives and regulations of the European Union. Without it, many product categories cannot be imported into and sold in the EU. It is not a quality certificate, but the manufacturer's statement of conformity with the mandatory EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements.

Who needs CE certification

  • Equipment and machinery manufacturers exporting to the EU
  • Electronics and electrical engineering producers
  • Construction product manufacturers
  • Manufacturers of toys, personal protective equipment, medical devices

What your company gets

  • Legal import and sale of the product in all EU countries
  • Free movement of goods within the European market
  • Trust of European importers and distributors
  • Reduced risk of product confiscation and fines

How the process works

Timeline — from 25 days to 3 months, depending on the product category and the readiness of technical documentation. We set the exact route after analysing your product.

1

Product analysis

We determine the applicable EU directives and the conformity assessment procedure

2

Technical file

We prepare design documentation, risk analysis and the list of standards

3

Testing

We organise laboratory testing against the harmonised EN standards

4

Declaration and mark

We issue the EU declaration of conformity — you affix the CE mark to the product

CE marking in Uzbekistan: a closer look at entering the EU market

CE marking in Uzbekistan is how manufacturers usually describe the package of documents that grants the right to affix the CE mark and supply products to the European Union. The procedure itself is European, but all the preparatory work — directive analysis, compiling the technical file, organising testing — is carried out here in Tashkent, with accredited laboratories and EU notified bodies engaged when required through our established partnerships.

Which directives and regulations apply to your product

The CE mark may only be affixed after the applicable rules are identified. For machinery this is the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230; for electrical equipment, the LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU directives; for construction products, Regulation CPR 305/2011; for toys, 2009/48/EC; for personal protective equipment, Regulation 2016/425; for medical devices, MDR 2017/745. A single product often falls under several directives at once — a machine with an electric drive, for example, is assessed both under the machinery regulation and for electromagnetic compatibility. A mistake at this stage results in the goods being stopped at customs, which is why we start the analysis with product classification.

Stages of obtaining the CE mark

Stage 1. Classification. We determine which directives and harmonised EN standards apply and which conformity assessment procedure is provided — internal production control (Module A) or the involvement of a notified body.

Stage 2. Technical file. We compile the package: general description and drawings, risk analysis, list of applied standards, calculations and reports, and the operating instructions in the language of the destination country.

Stage 3. Testing. We organise testing in accredited laboratories: electrical safety, EMC, mechanical strength — according to the list of harmonised standards.

Stage 4. EU declaration of conformity. Signed by the manufacturer, after which the CE mark is affixed to the product, packaging and documents. From that moment the product legally enters the EU market.

When a notified body is mandatory

For most categories — electrical equipment, many types of machinery — internal production control is sufficient: the manufacturer assesses conformity itself and signs the declaration. But for high-risk products — medical devices, complex-category personal protective equipment, lifting equipment, gas appliances — the participation of an EU notified body is mandatory. We determine your route in advance and, where a body is needed, support the interaction through our European partners.

Technical file and EU declaration of conformity

The technical file is the main evidence in inspections by European market surveillance authorities: it must be kept for 10 years after the last unit is manufactured and presented on request. It includes the product description, drawings and diagrams, risk analysis, the list of applied harmonised standards, test reports and a copy of the declaration of conformity. We prepare the file so that it withstands inspections rather than merely "existing on paper".

Timeline and cost of CE certification in Uzbekistan

The timeline ranges from 25 days for simple products under the self-declaration module to 3 months or more where mandatory testing and a notified body are involved. The cost depends on the product category, the number of applicable directives and the scope of laboratory testing. We provide an exact estimate after a free product analysis — you know the route, budget and timeline in advance.

Why it is safer with us

We have been preparing manufacturers for the requirements of foreign markets for over 15 years. In CE projects we take over the entire technical side: classifying the product under the directives, compiling the technical file, organising testing and preparing the EU declaration of conformity. We work with accredited laboratories and notified bodies through proven European partners — and we answer for the result, not for a "consultation".

What it costs

The cost depends on your product category, the applicable directives and the scope of testing. Leave a request and within a day we will define the certification route and calculate the exact cost and timeline for your case. The estimate is free and non-binding.

Frequently asked questions

How much does CE certification in Uzbekistan cost?
The cost depends on the product category, applicable directives and the need for laboratory testing: from a simple self-declaration procedure to an assessment involving an EU notified body. Leave a request — after analysing your product we will define the route, timeline and cost free of charge.
Who has the right to affix the CE mark?
The manufacturer itself — after confirming conformity with the applicable directives. For some product categories, the participation of an EU notified body is mandatory. We determine the procedure for your product.
What documents are needed for the CE mark?
A technical file: product description and drawings, risk analysis, list of applied harmonised standards, test reports, instructions and the EU declaration of conformity. We prepare the entire package for your product.
Is the CE mark valid indefinitely?
As long as the product and the directive requirements remain unchanged. When the design changes or directives are updated, the assessment must be renewed.
How does the CE mark differ from an ISO certificate?
ISO certifies a company's management system, while the CE mark confirms that a specific product complies with the safety requirements of EU directives. For export to the EU it is CE that is required, and ISO 9001 additionally strengthens customer trust.
Do you work only in Uzbekistan?
No. Our team has international experience: we work with CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia — including Moscow) and beyond, including the UAE and Dubai. We run projects remotely and with expert site visits.
